The first weekend in November we spent a day as a family at Hillridge Farms, where Jude and Channing were able to play in a corn house, ride a train, go on a hayride, climb on a tractor, eat lunch, and pick out pumpkins to bring home! Here's a picture of Channing at 11 months old playing in the corn house at Hillridge Farms:
Here's Jude at 2.5 years old and completely thrilled to be on a tractor at Hillridge Farms:
Ian and I celebrated 4 years of marriage on November 8, 2012! I love that I am married to my very best friend and am proud of all that we've done together. Here's a picture of us on a date night in early November 2012:Last year, my mother-in-law made cute little matching penguin hats for her grandchildren (she only had 3 at the time). This year she made an additional hat so that Jude and Channing could each have one! We are lucky to have a grandma who can crochet! Here are Jude and CC in November 2012 showing off their penguin hats made with love by their Grandma Bonnie:
Another HUGE part of our November 2012 was Channing's 1st Birthday!!! At one year old, Channing weighed 16 lbs. 7 oz. (10th percentile) and was 27" tall (3rd percentile). At one year old, CC has become quite feisty and can assert herself well when she feels she needs to. Channing also has an endearing, sweet side and loves cuddles and snuggling with her blankie while sucking her thumb. As I have always said, our CC is tiny bug mighty! One year old Channing goes to bed around 7:00pm and generally wakes up around 7:00am. She takes one nap a day, after lunch, for about 2 hours. Here's a comparison picture of Channing on the day we brought her home from the hospital (3 days old) and then one year later on her 1st birthday:
We had a birthday party to celebrate Channing's 1st birthday, but I will do a separate blog post on that.
Thanksgiving occurs during the week following Channing's birthday. This year Ian and I hosted our family Thanksgiving dinner in our home. Everyone contributed and we thoroughly enjoyed the food and fellowship. Jude and CC even contributed, as they helped to make the pretty centerpiece for the table!
Here are a few pictures of 12 month old Channing and 2.5 year old Jude on Thanksgiving Day 2012:

| Sibling love at it's finest! Ha ha! |
All of the food we had for our Thanksgiving feast was amazing! Jude & Channing especially loved their Nana's chocolate cake!
One thing that is somewhat unique about our family is that both sides of our families (the Hasemans & the Walkers/Bosticks) are close and celebrate holidays together. I find comfort in this and love that our children are able to enjoy all of their grandparents together. Here is a picture of Channing being loved by both of her grandmas on Thanksgiving 2012:
Happy Thanksgiving 2012!
Each year on the weekend following Thanksgiving, Ian and I help my parents get their Christmas trees set up. Whomever is not actually helping with the trees has the duty of watching the babies. Here is how my dad entertained our music-loving, 2.5 year old Jude:
The Walker Family thoroughly enjoyed our November 2012 and looked forward to the fun that December would bring!
